{FAQ}

Q: Where are you located?
A: Fischelli Photography is located in Jacksonville, FL and serves the greater Jacksonville area. Newborn and infant sessions take place in-studio. All other sessions take place on location within 10 miles of Jacksonville.
Q: Do you offer mini sessions?
A: Yes, I offer mini sessions on occasion. Stay tuned for announcements via Facebook.
Q: Do you know of any pretty locations for outdoor photos?
A: YES! I know of tons. Let me know what kind of aesthetic you prefer for your photos (beach, water, farms, urban, bridges, etc.) and we can decide on a location together.
Q: What if rain is in the forecast and we have an outdoor session scheduled?
A: I never trust weather reports, so unless you hear otherwise from me, we’re on. However, since we are at the mercy of the weather, if it’s nasty out, we’ll have to agree on a different time/day. Final call takes place within 2 hours of session start-time.
Q: Can you travel outside of Jacksonville for photos?
A: Yes, for an additional fee.
Q: How long do sessions last?
A: Generally, newborn sessions can last up to 3 hours, while most other sessions last from 45 minutes to an hour & a half. If you have little ones, fret not. I will work as quickly as possible to keep them from getting bored or over-stimulated. When there are children involved, I always follow their lead so that we have positive results!
Q: What do your prices include?
A: Session fees include time & talent of the photographer, limited edited digital images, and a print release. Professional prints and additional digitals are always available for purchase.
Q: What’s a print release?
A: A print release allows you to print your images up to a certain size at the lab of your choice. However, the copyright remains with Fischelli Photography, which means that photos may NOT be used for profit (submitted to contests, etc.).
Q: How do I book a session?
A: Send me a message either through the contact form at the top right-hand corner of this site or via Facebook. In the message, please include the who, what, when, and wheres. –> WHO are the photo subjects (include names of mom and dad and the ages if they are children), WHAT kind of session are you looking to book (wedding, newborn, maternity, family, 1st birthday, etc.), WHEN you want to book the session, and WHERE you would like the photos to take place (outdoors or in-studio).
Q: How far in advance should I book my session?
A: It’s never too early! While I can sometimes take last-minute calls, I strongly urge clients to book as far in advance as possible. On average, clients book 1-2 months in advance.
Q: How do I schedule a newborn session?
A: As soon as you have told your family and friends that you have a new baby on the way, I should be next.
Let me know when you’re due, and I will be sure to be available within 3 weeks of the baby’s arrival. Since we usually don’t know when babies are going to make their grand debut, we can’t schedule a specific date until after baby is born. The best time to take newborn photos is around 4-14 days postpartum (when they are still sleepy). After baby arrives, let me know as soon as possible so that we may reserve a date within this time period.
Q: Can we do newborn photos at my home?
A:  Yes. If you prefer photos to take place in your own home, they will be lifestyle photos (candid, un-posed shots) since I will not have access to backdrops & props.
Q: What is Fresh 48?
A: Fresh 48 is the name for lifestyle photos of your new baby and family taken in your hospital room/home within 48 hours after your baby is born.
Q: Do you require a deposit to book?
A: Yes, a 50% minimum non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date.
Q: What if I’m sick and I have to reschedule?
A: If someone is sick, let me know 24 hours before our session so that we may reschedule. If I am ill, I will do my best to reschedule at least 3 hours before session time.
Q: What type of payment do you accept?
A: I accept cash, check, or Paypal. There is a $5 service charge when paying via Paypal.
Q: What time of day will the session take place?
A: In-studio sessions take place mid-day. Outdoor sessions take place 60-90 minutes before sunset for the best lighting possible.
Q: What about props?
A: We will talk before our session so that I may get a feel for what you want out of your photos. I have lots of props, but you are always welcome to bring any special keepsakes and we will try to work them in.
Q: Will I get all the photos you took at my photo session?
A: No. You will get the best photos that I take at your session. I reserve the right to discard all photos that aren’t up to my artistic standards.
Q: How long until I receive my photos?
A: I edit photos in the order in which I take them. Processing time can take up to 3 weeks, though I usually get the photos out sooner. Wedding/special event processing time may take up to 12 weeks.
Q: May I share these images online? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blog, etc.)
A: Yes, share away! Just please remember to ALWAYS include credit to Fischelli Photography!
Q: Do you ever sleep?
A: Nope.
