{ WHAT TO WEAR }
Wardrobe can be such an important aspect of your photo session, and I’m here to help!  Feel free to run outfit ideas past me if you’d like, and check out my Pinterest page for more suggestions.

In the meantime, here are some tips to get you started:
{COORDINATE}
It’s great to coordinate, but you need not be too matchy. If coordinating outfits with multiple people, the best rule of thumb is to find a particular color and weave it through each subject’s outfit to tie it together (e.g. yellow dress, yellow tie, yellow shoes)
Also, if your child has an in-studio session, check out my backdrops here so you can coordinate accordingly.
{STYLE}
I highly recommend bringing at least two outfits (dressy & casual) coordinated for everybody in your session.
{LAYERS}
Adding layers to your outfits – even in the warmer months – adds an interesting element to your photos and gives us different options to work with during your session (think hats, scarves, belts, jackets, vests, ties, cardigans, leggings, jewelry).
{TEXTURE/PATTERNS}
Don’t be afraid of texture and patterns in your clothes. Avoid logos if possible.
{COLOR}
Don’t be afraid of color, either.
{IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU}
Try to find at least one element of your outfit that reflects your personality, whether it be a fun t-shirt under a jacket, a hat, or cute shoes.
{NEWBORNS}
I usually photograph newborns nude, though I provide some wraps, hats, and headbands. If you have any special outfits, hats, headbands, blankets, or wraps that you want to include, you are welcome to bring them along.
